Anyone ever run a rear tire on the front on their bike? I know they are made specifically for the forces that will be applied to them. With that in mind mount it in reverse direction.
Pro's?
Con's?
Experience?
In my admittedly limited experience, bad idea. Years and years ago, I acquired a Suzuki two-stroke to which the previous owner had fitted a back tire on the front. I was dubious but it was a practically new tire so I yielded to the temptation to go ahead and use up some rubber before replacing it. (What can I say, I was just a kid in my forties, what did I know?)
I rode it coast to coast that way and just about every day got reminded what a bad idea it had been. It hunted ferociously on rain grooves and became virtually uncontrollable on steel-mesh bridges - I came very close to killing myself crossing the Brooklyn Bridge - and generally responded to any pavement irregularities by trying to jerk the bars out of my hands.
After I got home I replaced it with a proper front tire and it never gave me that sort of trouble again.
Now that was with one particular make of tire (and I don't even remember the brand - might have been Bridgestone but I won't swear to it) and maybe there might be other makes that would work out better. I'll be curious if anybody else reports having tried it.
I don't believe mounting it backwards would do you any good. Part of the problem is that the sidewalls have to withstand different forces. Also you're doing something weird to the weight distribution, rear tires being usually more heavily constructed.
Anyway you wanted to know if anybody had tried it, and I have, and that was my experience.
