My clutch lever engages in the last little bit of travel. Probably let out on the lever 80% of the way before it engages. Is this an indication of clutch wear or just a lever which needs adjustment? The clutch is not slipping in anyway I can tell but I want to know what the deal is with it.
I am experienceing something very similar with my V65. It had a slave cylinder rebuild recently and is still doing the same thing so I think it may be the bushing in the clutch lever and/or needs a master cylinder rebuild.
because the clutch is hydralic there is no adjustment on it. It might just need bleed or fluid changed.
In general if a clutch is engaging at the very end of its travel it's usually a sign it's getting worn out, the greater the wear the further up the travel the 'bite' moves. If it was the other way and it was engaging sharply or after very little travel I'd be inclined to recommend you bleed it. Either way as Jerry said there is no adjustment with a hydraulic clutch.
I was thinking there might be a kevlar clutch job in my future :?
