Title: Honda Magna VF700C-Headlamp Cheap Solution
Post by: surplusart on November 06, 2007, 07:32:11 AM
I just posted the cheap oil filter fix at Wal-Mart and almost forgot I buy my headlamps for my bike there as well. Not against the Honda shops-but you gotta save money where you can.

Yep,
One of the WalMarts in our area carries Motorcycle oil, filters, anti-freeze and an assortment of Bell helmets/accessories, gotta love those low prices everyday

Yup,  I probably bought my Bell helmet from the same "super" Wal-Mart out your way, MagnaDaddy.

By the way, I am drumming up participation in a wrench session at my place this Saturday Nov 10.  See posting under Events, etc.

Would love to have you if you are so inclined. :)

I usually get my filters online at RonAyers.com (http://www.ronayers.com). He's got chrome plated K&N filters with 17mm nuts molded into the casing for easy removal, and they are only about $10 each.

Is Wal-Mart much cheaper? Seems like a cheap Fram filter runs about $3.50, then up to $7 for a Fram ToughGuard and $9 for a Fram Double Guard.

Also, I order about 4 at a time. Since I only ride about 3000-4000 miles a year, I only change the filter in the Spring. So, 4 filters will cover me for 4 years!
