Title: rejetting carbs on a 97 shadow 1100 ace
Post by: Jerry G Turner on January 02, 2008, 01:07:11 PM
I picked up a 97 Shadow ace 1100 the previous owner had it for about 2 years and had only ridden it about 200 miles it has after market pipes on it not sure what type I am sure it hasn't been re jetted because when I pulled the tank off the rubber had never been broken. It runs rough when trying to accelerate has anyone done one of these, I know its not a Magna but it is a Honda with only 2 carbs. Thanks

I'll take that as a no. I rejetted them today it wasn't bad easier than a magna since there are only two carbs, made a world of difference. If anyone out there ever needs any help doing one of these I know how to do it now and would be more than happy to help. Like I said I know its not a magna but it is a Honda. Oh by the way I do still have my Magna.

Thanks Jerry, I may take you up on that offer. My daughter bought a 2003 Shadow Spirit 750 back in October. It has Vance and Hines pipes on it and it pops when letting off the gas. So I am guessing that it hasn't been rejetted. Come spring I will probably be in the mood to work on it. LOL

Just let me know it wasn't that hard to do.
