Ok I will be having a wrench session at the new place on the 2nd of Feb Saturday. I will be changing the oilpan gasket on the Magna and plugs maybe a cable or 2. If you have any needs that you want done well come on out and join the fun if you don't need anything done well come on out anyway. Should be nice I hope so I hope to see you all there !!!!!

Well another one under the belt I sure enjoyed seeing everyone. Thanks to Greg for coming down and helping me again. Jesse showed also new member Kyle and Bradley Fine showed .
I started out by pulling the oilpan on my Magna and found out why there was a leak seems somewhere along the it's life it took a hit or something and someone had JB welded it so I ground off the JB weld and roughed up and cleaned the area and re JB welded it. Jesse came up with a good saying he had heard.
""It is a temporary fix that is unless it works then it is PERMENANT"" LOLOL :lol: :lol:
Anyhow we then started on carbs well we had three sets of carbs going at once Jesse added shims to his to try and solve a stumble that is there and Greg helped Kyle with his they broke them down and cleaned and shimmed his carbs. Brad showed up with a Super on the trailerand a box of Super carbs torn ALL the way down so Brad and I set to putting them back together with new Orings then then to bolt them back on the manifold and DOH I put them together wrong of course we did not find out till we had them on the bike Oh well live and learn.. By the end of the day we had Brads Super running and gunning with him all :-D :-D smiles .. I think he was on the verge of a Tigger dance 8-) ..
Greg had to get going and Brad was next Jesse and Kyle stuck around for awhile and we did installed Jesses stainless brakeline that Greg brought for him... We have pics out there Kyle brought his camera and Brad did to so look for pics from them!!!!
I had a great day and sure cannot wait till the next one I did get my Magna back together had to wait till the next day to put the pan back on but it is done along with a clutch cable and stock pegs....

Shoot, hated to miss this one. I was out of town for the last week. Still need a little work done before BB. I have a small radiator leak somewhere I can not find. There is never any water on ground and I dont smell anything after riding. But I have to add coolant every once in awhile. Is this normal?

Losing coolant is not normal you have a leak somewhere or dare I say a headgasket going !!!! :shock:
IF you loosing coolant and there are no signs of a leak anywhere, then it is probably consuming it. Head gasket as mentioned would be my guess.
If the headgasket was going would I not have some water in the oil?

No not always if it is a small leak then you are burning it off as it seeps into the cylinder. But it will not get any better you COULD have a small leak elsewhere to Oring gasket whatever and when the engine is hot the clearance is enough to let the water seep out and vaporize and when the engine cools it seals again.
Of course we are guess now but I have seen it happen. One thing you can check to see if it is the head gasket is too pull the plugs if one is clean thats the cylinder that has the leak coolant is a good cleaner and the sparkplug would be clean but that usually only happens with a bit of water...
I dropped the bike once and it was enough to jiggle loose the cross pipe rubber seal in the middle of the V of the pistons, but the coolant did gather there, but not much.
