Title: Exhaust mod
Post by: vonE on February 11, 2008, 09:07:41 PM
Just wanted to say thanx for all the info on this site, just did the exhaust mod and love it, it is just what I was lookin for! I also changed out the sprockets to 17, 38 because I ride from Phoenix to San Diego most weeks, brought the rpms to 4100 at 75 seams to run well, i will change it this Dec when I am done playin Navy, to some thing more around town fun. I went with an avon rear tire  it seems like a decent enough tire, sticks well in the corners! Next project is to do the cam cap update to eliminate that upper end noise, that's driving me nutz!! Any way keep up the great info!!

Welcome aboard!  I guess you won't be attending a Texas wrench session anytime soon from AZ. Hang on before you do the mod as I don't think there's a mod to do on the 3rd generation Magna unless you invent one. Now, if I just saved you a lot of time you owe me! :P  :P

I stand corrected! That looks pretty convincing as an original.

I will save that and include on the FAQ, if you don't mind, if you do talk to Curtis he splains things well.  :P :P

If you did not buy the bike new then it may have been done there should be a mark somewhere on the bike seem to remember someone syaing something about a mark if the stealership fixed it! Ok found it on the bulletin should be a center punch after the Vin on the neck on the right side!!!

So was this knocking flaw fixed by Honda on models after '94?  Will my '96 be infected with it?

Mine doesn't seem to make noise or I have worn it down and use to it. Didn't see a dimple, Mfg date 5-93.
