Title: Still have Fuel Issue
Post by: BA on May 06, 2008, 08:59:56 PM
Per my previous post, I purchased a new diaphragm for the vacuum fuel cutoff and she starts up now, but still acts like there's a vacuum leak, and there is a very big flat spot during acceleration from 3K to 5K RPM that I've never had before.  Since I already had the tank off, I also changed to a K&N filter.  I haven't had much time to work on it, but my finals are over for the semester and I will get back on it by the weekend.  Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Has this bike had shims added to it or do you have the K&N and no other mods !!!

Adding the K&N filter you increased air flow thus making leaner (which is causing the flat spot).  Shims as suggested will help fix your problem.

The bike has no other modifications, but I think I'll order a set of shims from DD.  I want to order progressive fork springs and a braided brake line, so I might as well get everything at once.
