Title: Modified Exhaust System
Post by: Jamtndll on June 18, 2008, 02:48:02 PM
I am thinkning about altering my exhaust system on my V45.  I am thinking about having a exhaust pipe for each cylinder, end up with 4 pipes out the back.  Can this be done and what are the problems associated with this idea?  Another question I have, I am going to have an extra $2000 to $2500 at the end of the summer.  Should I put this money in my 82, and really deck her out, or sell it and use all the money to buy a newer one.  Thanks for your comments.

That's a nice looking V45.
If you want 4 pipes think about getting a Gen3 Magna as an upgrade.
Probably less than $2000 difference and you will have a bike with parts (and Goodies)more available.
Newer Bike, more reliable, no cam worries.

Gosh, Jim...I dunno what your V45 needs.  As I recall, it is a pretty nice looking bike.  Accessorizing her would not be expensive.  You could use the $2500 for a complete other bike....

No one should have just one....   ;)
