Title: Question about rear lights on a gen 1 magna
Post by: DJ on July 27, 2008, 06:29:07 PM
Here is the background info

1982 Magna 750 v45, front lights are running lights/blinkers but the rear ones only illuminate when activated and the tail light only lights up when the brake is applied.  This doesn't seem right to me.  So the question is should all the lights be on all the time (ie: running lights)?

rear blinkers only light up when activated tail light has a two filement blub sounds like the tail light element must be burned out it should be on all the time.

Tested with three bulbs, two old and one new, and the second filiment never lights up.  What should I be checking now?

I would start with connections under the seat, use a test light to see if you have current to the connection, I think the brown is the tail light?
