Title: Clutch hard to DIS-engage
Post by: dgc67 on July 30, 2008, 03:57:31 PM
What would cause the clutch to become hard to dis-engage after warming up?
I am going to look at an 83 V45 this weekend and the guy says this is happening and that he has rebuilt the slave cylinder already due to this.  Depending on what it might be will impact my offer, if I make one at all.

Worst case is a new slave cylinder and master cylinder; but more than likely a fresh rebuild on both and a good system flush will fix it.

I agree also  my 83 V65 did this two weeks ago.  We flushed the hydraulic fluid and it works fine again now.

I figured as much.  Went and looked at 83 V45 with that problem.  Overall bike seemed solid enough for 45K on it.  I was looking for a parts bike and he was not willing to come down to my idea of a parts bike price. I don't blame him.  He had some aftermarket stuff and was asking $1100.  He likely will sell it for that.
