Alright guys dont lynch me for this one haha, i am going to go thru with lowering my magna. I am eaither going to have a friend of mine that does machining make me a lowring block to drop it 4-5 inches in the rear or remove the shocks and replace the inside wih steel tubing powder coated black and make a seat pan to put a springer seat on it with the new rigid rear. I also remember seeing somewhere that you can lower the front end by pulling the fork tubes up thru the tipple trees is this true? Any oppinions on this would be great or any advice. I plan on buying another one soon so this one is being made into more of a show bike and for short trips.
You can cut your fork springs to lower the front end.
Yes you can slide your fork tubes up thru the triple tree and lower the front. You need it to be precise on each side, torque the bolts back correctly. You also won't lose any travel in your forks You can't go over board on this, I was able to lower mine about an inch and a 1/4 but it helped and didn't look bad at all.

Back to what I was saying....you can do either one but what I meant to say you can cut new shorter preloads for your front forks out of PVC.

Now that looks like a comfortable seat :shock:. I wonder if he has issues hitting the radiator on the front tire when breaking hard? Also, the passenger pegs seem a bit pointless at this stage of his modifications :???: however overall I like the looks of it.
Yes i guess i can do that. I want to paint my pipes up to where it fatens out black as well, how hard is it to pull the exhaust off to do this, would i be better off just getting some of that black exhaust isulation tape and wrapping them? I am trying to make this thing look as mean as i can. Gonna give it a matt black paint job with realy dark red flames in it. I know this is way off topic but have any of you guys seen tarantinos newes movie hell ride? Its a biker movie, i just watched it the other day and man is it a good time.
i was thinking the same thing about the radiator cover and rear pegs as well. The guy was selling it as is with a seat that hadnt been finished yet. He said all modifications were done by either fabricating parts or retrofiting parts from other bikes.
I was actually just thinking some exhaust tape on a set of drag pipes could look pretty good.
Are those stock tires? if they arent does anybody know what kind they might be? they look beefy
I would imagine that it would be more comfy sitting on the concrete making motorcycle noises.
The front "wheel" looks stock, just painted / powder coated black.

I think it would be less work if you just put the Magna engine in a Harley chopper with hard tail frame.

I like the back end if it a lot. Big back tire, springer seat, hardcore bobber style.
Well the fattest tire for the rear end is a 170/80/15 and that is a stock tire on the front and it is a dunlop k555 if not mistaken!!!
What size tire does it look like on the rear of the last pic i posted, obviously it isnt a magna but i would like that size weather i need to get a bigger back rim or not is the question. Would the 170/80/15 look like that if it had that type of fender on it?
Its not really the rim that limits you its the rear of the bike, ie the swingarm and rear frame that will limit your size.
ahh didnt think about that, so the swingarm realy wont allow much bigger of a tire will it. I would need to invest in a custom swingarm to go big and wide in back
The front tire is definitely a Dunlop K555, but it looks like it might be a bit wider than the stock front tire...or maybe it just looks fatter with out the front fender.
