Title: Heat Guards
Post by: mkgarvin on September 21, 2008, 01:53:21 PM
Does anyone know where I can purchase heat guards for my 2000 Magna?  Someone at Keller's told me these types of things are available.  Thanks.

Actually the product I'm looking for was described as plastic guards that attach to the bike just below the riders thighs to reflect the heat downward coming off the engine.  I've found some but they fit a Harley Road King.  The rider reviews were very positive.  Any ideas on how I can find these for a 3rd Gen Magna?

I have never heard of these, but love the idea.  Any links to a pic?

Here's what I saw earlier on the Cruiser Customizing website.  I can't find these that fit anything other than a Harley.  They may fit the Magna, I just don't know.  If you find them, please let me know.  I've been frustrated by too much heat for a long time.

I'm not an expert but the only bike I have seen them on is a Harley.  Also if you buy cheap ones the Harley in parades get so hot it will discolor them.   I gave Charles my discarded top of my gas tank and I believe he was going to fabricate something of that nature for heat deflection.
