MOOTMag # 7 will be held at Koyote Ranch, June 10-14, 2009...
The Committee (thanks Lawrence) has arranged a 20% discount at Koyote Ranch http://www.koyoteranch.com/ 1-800-225-0991 once we obtain 10 reservations. To make reservations please tell then you are part of MOOT, they will charge you for the first day when you make the reservation.
They have available tent camping, RV sites, Cabins (several arrangments to choose from), and B&B as well.
Fuel on site, as well as Merchantile with grill, swimming pool, etc.
Registration fee this year will be $30 per bike (includes passenger) contact me for information on how to send in fee.

This is our annual get together, to meet new people, to ride great areas, to hang out with old (and not so old :lol:) friends! If you have never been to a MOOT event, this is the one.

As seen in another post.. I lost a cyber friend the Sunday after Christmas (the funeral is today at 2pm MST) and his wife is still in the hospital in a coma.. She knows she has been in an accident, but does not know her husband is dead yet.. (obviously she is not going to make the funeral).
Anywayz.. They have an annual meet up in VA a couple of days after MootMag.. There is no way I'm making to Texas then Va. then back to Florida..
So.. IF I make an event this year, it will probably be the one in Va. to meet up with those that are sharing this loss..
Moot will have to wait another year.. Sorry... and I was sooooo looking forward to bustin' all your chops in person!!! :lol:

Hoot, you are making the correct choice there. I would do the same in your shoes. I still am not sure if I can make it myself. Just found out yesterday my wife has to have a possible hysterectomy on January 19. Doctor didn't like what he saw from ultrasound. Scar tissue from previous ruptured appenidix, and 2 kids, daughter 8#11oz. son 10# 8 oz. Doctor said he would know better when he was in there what needed to come out and what needed to stay. :shock: Anyway, there goes unforeseen vacation time. Hopefully will make it though... :grin:

I was at Koyote Ranch this week and they have a ramp for unloading bikes from trucks/vans.
I have a Kamp Kabin reserved. I will be by myself and I would like to share my Kabin with a single person for the event. I will be there on June 10th and leave on Sunday. Give me a shout if you are interested.

Well, that is a welcome addition!! The only time I damaged Maggie was taking her out of the pickup at Koyote Ranch. Cost me a new mirror, and a new seat back.
I plan to ride out this year, carrying all I need on the bike. I took the truck to avoid riding in the rain. Then there was the trip to Luchenbach :lol: :lol: Never been so wet in my life. This year I am going to take my chances and ride. If it is raining Sunday morning, I will wait 'til it passes to start home...

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but when I called Coyote Ranch last night to check on a cabin for Ron there was one left, ($75.00 per night not including the 10% discount) that sleeps four ,anyway we nor Ron are going so if any one needs a cabin there may still be one left . Lawrence, the lady I spoke with last nite was very nice and accomadating, she may have just accidently misquoted the discount. Since It wasn't a factor in my decision I didn't question her any about it..
Charles, they are great folks. Even the greatest sometimes make errors and get confused, and it is much easier to sort out these discount errors on the front end than at checkout time.

I am meeting up with another motorcycling forum group. As I have posted there was a tragic death in December to a memeber of the group, and the entire Forum was VERY supportive of the family involved. So, I want to try and meet some of the folks..

Charles you, Brenda, Ron and others should come on down to the Ranch!!! The Kamp Kabins (the one you mentioned) are air conditioned and sleep 4 (divide the $56 + tax, by 4, and you get $14 + tax a day)..

We've been planning on going all year and really hate to miss. It's not just the cost of the cabin, things have just piled up lately, water heater busted mothers Day, transmission went out on my daughters car last week, had to replace brakes and seals in Van last week. Well you get the picture, besides after last year Brenda and I are both a little gun shy about our luck :-?. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about it had nothing to do with Mootmag, that part was great. Due to unforeseen events we ended up only getting to ride about 50 miles with Felicia, which we also enjoyed. Hopefully we will get another chance the next time it's not quite so far. Again hope y'all have a blast.
You guys will be missed, Charles and Brenda, not the same without you guys around.
