Title: Tore it up
Post by: roboto65 on December 23, 2008, 05:11:27 PM
Ok so I went to town on the swingarm well it was not a bad job except mine was a little more messy than most LOL.... Also found out I need to order rear shock bushings as they are bad but since I did not have any new just put it back together but there sure is play for sure!!!!!

Ok here are pictures!!!

This is the swingarm the bad one!!!

Here is the chain Looked great.

Masterlink is holding up great

The front sprocket was worn on one side but I kinda figure that is from the swingarm and not being able to adjust the chain correctly but the teeth looked great

The rear sprocket had no wear

There was a mess LOL but thats OK I got her cleaned somewhat got the new swingarm on and polished a few things for those that do not know 20,000 miles ago I did this chain and sprockets with the Pro Oiler install along with the Cryo treatment on the sprockets. I am happy with the results and to have the Sprockets and the Sparkplugs and the front bearings treated cost me 40 bucks not a bad deal !!!!!

Looks to me that your front sprocket was mis-aligned, causing the wear on the sprocket indicated. Do you have the same wear on the otherside of the sprocket or only one side.. If only one side, then your rear wheel was either not aligned with the bike, or was offset bacause of the swingarm issue you had..
I just bring this up so you can make sure your rear wheel is better aligned once you put it back together.

Oh yeah I figure the misalignment was because of the axle moving because of the swingarm being chewed up so the axle would move even when tight !!!!!

Is that a red Honda Gas tank off something, or is it a RC plane, or???
See Terry.. It's not just you.. Allen didn't give us much to look at besides the bike.. Which is nice enough, but it's always good to get a bonus in the shot!!!

Did you catch the purple mohawk on the Wirehair? He is a Sandy color, but has a natural blonde Mohawk.. My daughter can't resist coloring it when Mojo has a special appearance.. (This was at the annual Doxopolusa (SP?) put on by DARE.. The local Weenie Rescue)..  http://www.daretorescue.com/ (http://www.daretorescue.com/)

Yea, I seen that, pretty cool.  My sister-in-law and mother-in-law are into saving and resuing dogs as well.  Every other day they have a new dog to see that they have rescued, and then poof it will gone when you go to see them the next time. Great cause.  Right now they have 4 weenie-dogs.
