So who is coming for the wrench session?  What do you plan to accomplish?  I know Allen is coming LoL.

I WOULD like to pull the carbs off the Yellow bike and do bit more tweaking (if I dont get to it before then), and install the new carb boots I bought as well.

I had planned to come just didn't commit waiting to see if something came up.....well, something came up, Dave (SmokedU) is getting tired of hearing this  :-P.

I had a nephew in the hospital after surgery so christmas was put off until he was out of the hospital. I just received the email saying it's the 10th. I do not have a time yet...probably at lunch time in Waco, if in the evening it would not be a problem, anyways looks like I will mess this, we will see.

Looks like highs in the 70's on Friday, then back into the 50's on Saturday, guess I need to wear my overalls!  What time are we going to start?  I plan on being there early as possible, I figure tensioners are at least a 4 hour job, 8 if SmokedU helps much...........  :-P  Greg, can you post your address so I can make directions?  Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I will be leaving from Frisco around 8 if anyone wants to come along. I usually meet folks at Home Depot East of Ohio on SH 121. You can call me at 972-801-7079 so I know who to meet. Come one, come all.
BTW, I will be electrified, since it will be cold to begin with. Dress warm!

I think I will be ready to wire my bike for LED accent lights. The switch has been installed, just need to mount and connect the LED pods. It should be an illuminating experience!!!!

I got my Gerbings in the mail today, Bob.  For $40 I got a 1.) Valk side cover with the dual heat-troller, control knobs and LEDs mounted in it 2.) a heated jacket liner 3.) heated socks and 4.) various assorted cords with SAE connectors including a coily cord.

I'm really not interested in the socks but I'll try them out anyway.  I'll probably get some of the close-out Gerbings glove liners (old style).  I saw them pretty cheap on one site.  If I can keep my core and hands warm I think I'll be alright.  What has been your experience?

Curtis, sounds like you got a good deal. I have the dual thermostat and it is good to have when the body is warm but the extremeties (hands/socks) are cold. Bring your stuff along, I would like to see what you have.

Charles, if you guys can meet at Home Depot, I'm sure Ron knows where, we can go together. I just take 121 E to 75 and South to 635 and then E to 175 and east to Malloy Bridge road and Greg is behind Walmart. Let me know.

50 degrees, the high for the day. Yeah, I'll be wearing my fur lined underwear. I'll let you see them, but you gotta pay me $ 10.00 first.

Talk sweet so I can stay focused. You wouldn't want your cam chain dropped down in the case, hehehe

Terry, I think I'll start a fund drive to raise money to have you stuffed when you finally pass on to the great twisty farm to market road in the sky.

We can keep you over at Greg's house in the closet, put some of those sneakers on you that have the skate wheels built in them and just roll you out in the garage "weekend at Bernie's" style for our get togethers. That way you won't have to miss any of them.

Might be a good idea to have your forearms extended, palms up with fingers bent, that way you can still participate as kind of a rack for holding things.

Well, maybe next time brother.

I've got something I need to do before I can get in any wrenching.  Problem is, I got plenty of wrenching to do.  But one thing I've learned in the few short years that I have been married; a happy wife is one who lets you go wrenching.  Tina says maybe I can have you guys over here once the kitchen is done.  Have FUN..!

Hey Trapper. I've got to gut my kitchen, including the floor.  I've got soft spots in it because of leaks the previous owner didn't fix. I knew it when I bough the place, but got a good enough deal that it's worth it.
I'm going to take of week off sometime around next May and get the project started. I'm thinking seriously about concrete counter tops.
Anyway, good luck with your project. I'm sure you'll be happy when it's done.

What a great day.  It was good to see my friends from the old MOOT days, my friends from recent MOOT days and even a new face or two.  Lunch at the Cotton Gin was great and true to MOOT tradition we took the "long way home".  The road through Combine is getting to be in bad shape though, it tried to toss me a couple of times.  As far as work done, I think we had some valve adjustments on a V65, Carb work on a 3rd Gen going on and I had to replace a fuse that fed my Gerbings (thanks Jeff) due to my ineptitude.

Please add your thoughts and experiences on today's event.

+1 on the triumph.  That is one good looking bike.  And it's not a v-twin.     I remember one year me and the family went to Crater of Diamonds state park for the weekend.   Sitting at the picnic table, a unique and awesome sounding motorcycle pulled up at the restroom.  I walked up to the bike to take a closer look. It was a triumph speed triple.  He had an aftermarket exhaust on it and I will say that it was one of the best sounding bikes I have ever heard!!   8)

Looks like ya'll had a grand ol time. Wish I could a made it. I got cold, just looking at the pictures.
Rocket III. What can I say? If you gonna show up at a MOOT session on something beside a Mag or a Valk, that would be it. Congrats Bob.
Thanks to who ever took a look at my stator. Ya saved me from replacing a good one. Guess I'll look at the reg/rec now.

Sat was, as always, great. It is always worth the trip when your with good friends that share a common interest. Thanks to Greg and Kristi (THE QUEEN) for being such great host. A special thanks to my buddy Jeff for hauling me and Brenda and Ron (and the Jade Valk) down from Celina. Thanks Curtis for taking a picture of the trailer Queen :D, I'll try and remember to post one for you 8) :D :D. For all you guys and gals that keep putting off making a wrenching session, your going to kick yourself when you do finally make one, for not going sooner. Looking forward to the next time we can get together..

Yeah, but I"ve just held it over his head, besides I've never actually bragged about not having a trailer queen or made comments like " You'll never see my bike on a trailer". So, whose bike was that on the trailer anyway  :-D :-D :-D..

Yep, it just gets hauled on a trailer everywhere, like a garage queen that sits in the garage and ridden very little.....but it looks Good!  :-P

Actually, I always thought it kind of admirable that someone would haul their bike around with them even when they can't ride it there. 8)..

My ex-wife just loved Pepsi. I could never have gotten her to pose with a beer can. Sorry.

"Pookie" made a great mop when the old lady wasn't around; just slide him around on his back and then shake him out
