So I recently cleaned/shimmed my carbs using the following guide http://www.magnaownersoftexas.com/forums/index.php?topic=809.0 (http://www.magnaownersoftexas.com/forums/index.php?topic=809.0) and I read the tip about marking disconnected hoses with masking tape so that you know which ones you have to reconnect and in my infinite wisdom chose to ignore this advise as something only some of you old farts around here need to help you remember during some brief episode of alzheimers.
So now that I have been humbled a bit I will get to the point. I have carbs reinstalled and airbox on and the last piece remaining is to put the gas tank back on. So, I have attached the correct hose (probably) to the airbox and the correct hose to the T piece and I have three hoses remaining. One is the small vent hose that connects to the back of the tank. One is fuel supply that connects to the petcock and one is ........ any ideas? should there be a hose that is just a breather under there?
Thanks,
Gabe
FYI - This is a 1997
Yes, if it just loops up and then back down, that is correct. It is a vent for something, just can't remember. But can see it in my mind. Has a soft hook that wraps around it. Just hook your vent hose for your gas tank, let the tank down and attach your fuel hose!! You will be good to go then!
That sounds just like the hose that I am referring to.
Thank you.
