I found a tire change business in Dallas that will do a darkside tire change ($10)if you bring the unmounted wheel to them. Columbia tire center 4803 Columbia, Dallas, TX 214-823-3601.
The place is open 24 hours! Exit 48A to Carrol street off I-30, about a mile north of the highway. Lots of good food around there also.
What a great find Bob and 24 hours to boot, it's 12:30 AM, I'm ready!
Okay, I'm an ignorant northerner...what's the meaning of "darkside" as it applies here?
It is where you mount a car tire on the motorcycle. Do a search on the website and you will find some pics.
Hey Yankee, looked at your profile, where in Michigan are you? i'm near east lansing / webberville area.

Maybe you could send "Matrix Man" this way with your tire. At his pace he could round trip it in two months.

A little south and east of you in the Detroit area...check your PM.
Car tires on motorcycles....? WT---
car tires on....
Well, it goes like this: MC tire (RocketIII)$200+, car tire $100 ( do the mileage math yourself)
cycle shop tire change $50-$100, dallas tire change $10
control/performance- I see no difference after 7K miles on this tire and I have (tried to) followed some of the fastest riders in this group with car tires (Curtis, Terry) and have not seen them slow down or have control problems.

Just to be mentioned in the same sentence with Bob & Curtis gives the Wow factor(http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa214/TLRam1/Smilies/210.gif)Bob. 8)
Well, Terry, anybody that can move like you do through traffic, even with a passenger on the back rates high in my book.
Best bet is for you to tell me where you are going and I will meet you there as my ability allows................
to eat some good Mexican food, continue up Carroll and turn right on Columbia and on your left is a place called Ranita's it's good.
I saw a seafood place also.
