I have performed the Garage door opener mod that is listed on this site.. It works well, but I had to buy a used garage door opener off e-bay, wait for it to arrive, do some soldering, buy a button, drill a hole, etc, etc..
This guy has improved the mod and installation is much quicker and easier...
If you can get it to work once.. Your probably good to go

Works just like a TV remote :D and just as hard to find when you need :???:.
I saw this in Roadbike mag for a similar product was thinking about it because I hate having to kill the bike. open the bag to hit the button, lock the bag and then start the bike and ride in.

I have a key fob sized door opener with a switch wired across the button. I secured it to the front of the bike, painted the same color of the piece that it is attached to and most people seldom see it unless I point it out. The wired switch is located under the tank on the left side and works great.

Well crud!! I've had one of those for years, but must have wired it in backwards. When the horn goes off on mine, I jump up from the couch, run outside and help haul in the groceries.

Ahhh... You purchased the Auto version and not the motorcycle version..
That was a popular video on the V4 site awhile back too.
One guy said he has a different "opener" for each of his bikes.
If I only had a garage -- with a door.
Well, one consolation -- with no door, one does not need an opener.
I must have mine installed wrong...When I tried that all my cloths came flying out the front window on the house :?

OH SNAP!!!
I got one years ago from J.C. Whitney.
Sounded the horn, the dog came to the fence, screwed his head sideways, flipped me "The Paw" and then walked away. :-?

Sounds like you got one of the defective prototypes... There is a way to Upgrade, but it is VERY expensive.. $$$ - It's cheaper to keep her..

Yeah, and in truth, it's more a feature than a bug. At least I didn't have to go grocery shopping. Not to mention there are other uhh amenities that more than make up for one problematic feature.
I think I will stick with my Genie that one looks expensive. I would have to feed it for one and pay for a divorce layer for second.
