Title: Headlight won't work
Post by: ikkymudd #587 on May 29, 2009, 04:52:36 PM
I have an 85 v45 and the headlight won't work.  I went out yesterday afternoon and met some friends and it worked fine.  When I started back it wouldn't come on.  I have put in a new bulb, checked the fuses and jiggled the wires but nothing.  All other lights, turn signals and electrical components work fine.  I was wondering how to begin to figure out what's wrong.

Well, I think I figured it out.  I found some info on a SABRE/MAGNA faq site that said it might be the starter switch so I took it apart and blew out any dust and then squirted some CRC 2-26, an electrical lubricant, into it.  Lo and behold the headlight started working again.
Here's the web site
