I've been following a thread on V4bbs about the Dynatek 2000 ignition and it just doesn't seem to have a definitive conclusion. On one hand the person that pushed so hard to get Dynatek to build one for the early V4s is not happy cause no one is buying them and defending the cost and what it supposedly will do. Then others are bashing it because for the money you can't program it without spending more money.......whew!
It seems the main benefit is reliability and with additional programming that you can purchase you can possibly gain a few horses etc. All this for somewhere between $320.00 and $400.00. ??
I've never had an ignition failure on a V4.....I may be just lucky I don't know.
Has ignition failure been a problem for others?
If it is not broke don't fix it! keeps going through my head.
I'm driven to ask about it because I like the idea of using technical advances to improve my old bikes.........What are some of your thoughts???

Seems the closer to the edge a thing is pushed the shorter the life expectancy.
from what i've read on the older magna's, the spark boxes fail quite often (they have two boxes) , especially with age, and the dyna one is a better replacement. i have a dyna on mine but i have the 3rd gen one.
