Post by: hootmon on July 24, 2009, 07:52:52 AM
You asked us to let you know as soon as we released new information about the new V4. So we're (Honda) pleased to announce that there's now a new website where you will find exclusive V4 motorcycle news, pictures and video clips.
You could also win the chance to be one of the first to ride the new V4-powered motorcycle on the open road.

Regular updates to this website with the very latest information as it's released, so don't forget to
keep coming back.

I get the impression this bike is more designed for the European market. Why not a new Honda 1200cc v-4 cruiser that I believe would sell very well here in the states? Maybe one day (soon hopefully) Honda will do just that. For now I guess a replacement for the Blackbird is all we'll get.

I think the large portion of the cruiser market just don't care about performance, but rather looks and sounds.  Idiots.

You will not here me complain!!   At least they are building a new v-4 enigine.   Remember, first there was the 1994 vfr interceptor, then came the 3rd gen magna with the engine in it.  Hopefully they will follow those same foot steps and put the 1200 v-4 engine in a 4th gen magna in the near future someday!!

You are correct.

If you explore the web-page it has English (United Kingdom) and when search for dealerships ZERO in America.

Yes indeed, that's a good lookin' bike IMO. To bad we never had the chance of even giving one a test ride. I guess Honda doesn't think the American market would support some of these bikes but yet give us the "opportunity" to own one of these little jewels.

Is this the new duel clutch model?

If you click on the "V4 engine" in the lower left hand corner, it goes into some of the innovations in the engine, but does not discuss the clutch.. There is still more to come on the technology..

Right you are. This is the dual clutch solution with the tranny beeing a combined automatic, semiautomatic and manual 6 gear solution. Tra tranny has been said to be designed to match other future high-torque honda engines as well.
