Has anyone ever on the MOOT site installed a sidecar on their Magna?
I'm just wondering b/c I'm either going to instatrike by bike or get a sidecar. I'm leaning toward a sidecar as of this moment... the ability to carry 2 girls and myself is enticing.
:)
Robert just had installed on his wifes bike, not a Magna but maybe since he has some first hand knowledge he could answer some questions.
If you do post up some photos so we can verify. :P
Now if I had a sidecar then the son would want to go when me and momma go for a ride. Sometimes you just need to get away from the kid( he is 13 going on 30)
Of course if I put a solo seat on I could get away from everyone

Oh I will. I think a sidecar is more enticing than an Instatrike or a Voyager kit.
As I'm getting older, I'd like to be able to carry more, and have a little more stability.
Now, I don't mean stability at speed! I know 2 wheels are better than 3 (or four) for that matter. I just mainly want more storage capacity for long trips...
Full blown conversion kits are out of my league ....if i won the lottery, I'd get a Champion trike Honda Valkyrie setup.
And, no I don't want a car, I like being in the open air.

Momma don't like the single seat idea, showed it to her when I put my LED's on and she was not thrilled
It is a nice looking bike but how many forward lights do you need.
I have not ridden a trike or a conversion and my wife's sidecar is ok and very nice for grocery store runs or trips. I love the magna but would not recommend it for a sidecar bike. I would recommend something with low-end torque like V twins or opposing 4 or 6 and the forks need to have a short rake. Brenda's is an 800cc Boulevard. The person that built it said this is one of the best rigs he has ridden. If you were going to use it for trips with a passenger I would recommend something bigger then the 800cc. If you have questions, I will be happy to make suggestions. There are books to read about maneuvering and bike and sidecar.

thanks for the help btw.
I'm abandoning the idea :)
Went on a Pie Run Saturday, had about 114 bikes show up, here was one popular bike with a sidecar.

I was told by an early boss in my career that sidecar races were all the rage in Holland during the '30s. Teams of two -- a driver and a rider, whose job it was to lean 'way out in the turns to keep the whole contraption vertical. Sounds scary to me!!
"Jesse James is a Deadman" did a show on sidecar racing motorcycles was on SPIKE TV prety wild to watch them do

I once saw a video clip of a sidecar race on Urals on a motocross track. I'll see if I can find it again. They were getting air!

BTW, lunch was not bad either.

Terry that was some nice bikes. I have seen some videos with sidecars and sidecar racing they where fun to watch.
There is a pie place that was on the way to an Oklahoma casino. You had to have reservations just to get a pie. I am swamped right now but was going to suggest if someone wanted to lead a ride.

Looks more like a Roman Chariot race, maybe better name would be Moron Chariot race 8). I can barely remember back when I would have said, "that looks like fun" , at this point in my life the pie rack is way more exciting :D..
