Title: Charging System
Post by: Cadmandu on November 12, 2009, 11:26:18 AM
My 84 VF700C always started quickly and at 3/4 choke. I could back off the choke within a few minutes. All of the sudden it started
acting up. I stalled it at a stop sign a few weeks ago and it was hard to start. It was starting cold then not after a ride while hot. I could catch it in gear though. I put a meter on the battery and when I would rev the engine the voltage would drop. I am in the middle of moving and do not have time to work on it. But, I lay in bed at night and wonder about it. Does anybody have any ideas.

Someone once sent me the proceedure for testing the R/R and the stator, maybe someone who has it could post it in the tech section.
