Title: Shot in the dark - Kick Stand Spring
Post by: hootmon on March 01, 2010, 04:10:43 PM
Somehow I damaged my kickstand spring on my '94 while doing maintenance on my bike (with the jack)..

Any chance someone has a "spare" one sitting on the self??

I have an '84 rolling frame that still has the spring on the kickstand. Will that fit yours?

Thanx for the offer.. According to the Honda parts look-up on Bike Bandit, it looks like two different part numbers.. The one off your '84 is "129798-001" and the one on mine is "129796-001"..

We shall see if anyone else comes up with something..

Ah, just do like we did with our bicycles, lean it up against a tree 8).. Besides if you wait a couple more months they should be cheaper since it will be Springtime :D

What are you doing reading a post that has not been [T] Approved???

My spring still works, but does not hold the kickstand all the way up.. I drug it today in a left hand turn..

When you went to throw it away, did you tell yourself.. "This could come in handy, one day"???
Well.. Today is the day!!!

That is why I dig in Terry's trash.  I have gotten some cool Magna stuff from his trash.
In Terry's defense: He normally post before tossing stuff. Nobody showed interest so he tossed.
