Please make sure you vote... above (You can always change your vote, after you read the below news..)

Well.. I've gone and done it.. I know many of you will be surprised, but I just couldn't take all the questions and people thinking I'm crazy for riding on a car tire...
It rode OK, but all these people telling me that "car tires are not designed to ride on Sidewalls" and "you're going to kill yourself"... I just couldn't take it any longer...
So.. I went out and bought a Rear tire for my bike..
I bought an AVON ROADRIDER tire.. I dismounted my old tire and mounted the Avon myself (I had to borrow a compressor as I don't have one), it popped on at about 60 lbs.. I put some Dyna Beads in there and it's as smooth as glass...

Now I know several of you are just shaking your heads and saying to yourselves, "I just don't believe it", But I assure it's true.. You all will just have to get over ever being able to know what I will do next....

Just to prove it... I've provided a picture of my bike (Yes, it's my bike) with my Avon Rear Tire mounted.. Because I just know some of you won't believe it without the evidence.. (I actually have another picture with Seafoam in the background.. Anyone who wants to complain, can expect a present in a PM..

So without Further delay.. Here you go...

OH.. Did I fail to mention that I mounted it on the Front of the bike???  :P :P :P :P
(BTW - If you mount a Rear tire on the front, you need to run it opposite the arrow direction..)
You didn't really think I cared what other people think did you??? What.. I don't own a Harley do I..  Oh, Sorry.. Was that my outside typing??

Now I can tell people that I have a Motorcycle Rear tire, and I don't have to listen to their Stupid comments... OR if someone gives me stupid comments about my Car tire, then I'll just point them to the front of the bike.. I figure they won't know what to make of me and will just wander away, shaking their head and mumbling to themselves... Sort of like you are doing right NOW!!!

You can now go back and move your vote up a button or two!!!

Going to see her boyfriend and wanted to be ready, while her ex-husband was in the passenger seat
Reminds me of when I was in the Coast Guard and I received a call from a lady on Saturday morning..

I was wondering if you could help me out?
You see my boyfriend and I are going sailing on the Pacific today and I was wondering if I could leave your number with the nurse and you could notify us if my Husband should die while we are out...

No kidding.. You can't make that stuff up!!!

I will be watching for updates.  It has always annoyed me the front tire had so much less tread and the distance was so much less.  I seriously doubt  I will ever do the back on the front.  When I was using a motorcycle tire on the back I did not see a great improvement on cornering with a new back tire.  But when I changed out the front tire to a new one I could always see a big improvement on my cornering.

and your fender fit around the tire with no problem?  The very first streetbike I owned I bought the wrong size front tire (noob) and had to fabricate new brackets for the fender.  Bike never rode right though.

Oh, and I can't seem to change my vote.  I did learn to read next time before casting it though.  ;-)

It is the standard Magna Gen 3 front tire size (120/80-17)

I thought I set the poll up so people could modify their vote.. Either I did something wrong, or the Forum S/W is not working correctly..

I put a 120/90 17 on mine. I can hear a faint rub, but there is no mark on the tire. In fact the injection nipples aren't even being knocked off. I can't believe how much better it handles. Of course, you could just about see the air in the tire I took off.  :o

I have had the 120-90-17 on my wifes Magna for a good while ( you can see how it fills up the fender in my sig) when we ride we use my Valk to check the actual mileage. We've never rode side by side and checked mph per mph but the last Sunday afternoon run we made to Jefferson we rode a 152 miles by my Valk and the Magna was showing 148, so not much in my opinion.
