Title: V65 Gas tank on V45?
Post by: RogerClayton on January 24, 2006, 10:45:39 PM
Can a V65 gas tank be fitted onto a V45?
The extra gallon would sure be nice on highway.

Roger If you can send me a pic of the bottom of your V45 (make it as large as you can) I'll let you know what mods would have to be made. All I have left is V65 tank and the sad part is I just hauled off two V65 tanks with good bottoms. Any way I'll be glad to compare them for you, let me know if I can help.

Yes. I want to compare the width and placement of the mounts with the V65 tank I have. The mts on the V65 tank will have to be moved some to fit the V45 frame, even if the bottom has to be changed it's not that big of a job.

Thanks,

I'll try to get some pix tomorrow or the weekend. I'll throw in a ruler for judging distance.

What ever happened to this possible modification?

Any results?
