BikeWeek Review (http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/riderlight/)
Looks a bit gimmicky to me, I can't see it being very effective but saying that, every little helps!
I was looking into developing a harness that you throw over your jacket at night, possibly like a double bandolier that would have running luminescent lights (rope kind) or LED's. My first idea was to have LED's in different shapes like flames, skulls - whatever bikers want... why not v4? hehe The bandolier sounds a little less gimmicky but who knows, crazy stuff sells!
They have LED safety vests but this would be much more discreet. When not lit up, it's just two black straps crossing over your back and front. Perhaps they would be linked to the brake system like your helmet system. Why not put constant white LEDs on the front and brake activated ones on the back? If you really want to push it, put yellow LEDs on the shoulders for signals... yeah, or not. That's the deluxe paranoia version.
Anyway, that idea is sitting in the not-so-secret vault for now. Got too many going right now.
Would you wear something like that? Talking about it has me excited about it again.
Someone else recommended this one it's called the Halo...
Here is just one site that has them (Not recommending them, just providing a link)

I have seen a rider with the Halo on the helmet, I saw it before I ever saw the bike(he was sitting on side of road)
when I stopped to see if he needed help asked what it was and he told me. I know 2 years ago at the cycle show they put a helmet in the rafters and would shine a flashlight on it to show how reflective they were. Was pretty cool.
Don't halo's usually go above the head. Considering it's location, that thing should be called a noose.
