Title: Fork "lowers" does anybody use these, or HAS used these before??
Post by: hootmon on April 30, 2010, 01:55:48 PM
I was wondering if anyone uses (Has used) lowers on their forks and what their opinion of them is...

Memphis Shades Lowers (http://www.meancycles.com/Home.asp?PartID=206463&AccCategoryID=2393&AccCategoryTypeID=0&BikeModelID=5478&ManufacturerID=1395&BikeType=Cruiser&CompanyID=0)

It does require turn signal relocation.. Just wonder if anyone has tried these out??

I have them on my bike they were on there when I bought it I get very little buffeting so I think they do help. Oh and my knee caps stay warm in the winter.

I tried them for a while in an attempt to reduce the head buffeting I was getting.  It didn't make any apprecable difference for that anyway.  Since most of my riding is done in warm weather, the lowers just increased the heat retention around the engine and my legs.  Taking the key out and immediately placing it into my pocket got lots of immediate attention....  I ended up selling them.
