Thought I'd share a couple pics of 2 small products I just installed and 1 that failed after a few months. No proper review here. If I had the time to do that, well, I wouldn't, I'd do something else ;-)
First product is the Gripster tank pads (found at http://www.techspec-usa.com/overview.html). I'm personally really liking them. Beyond actually giving me a lot more grip on the tank they actually remind me to engage my legs when maneuvering the bike. I chose the .125" thick, diamond cut rubber pads vs the thin synthetic grips. I thought these would look a little beefier but I think the others would look fine too. That is, if you even like this look. You might not!
As you can see, I didn't get a perfect 45° cut with my razor and I wish I would have waited until the next day when I would have found my actual knife. I was just holding the razor so I didn't have the control or umph I wanted when cutting through the .125" rubber.
I purchased their general sheet and used one of the patterns they provided. I thought this pattern echoed the tear drop shape of the tank and my bags but the other patterns may suit you more. They make pre-cut pads for more popular bikes but alas, not ye old magna.
Here are some pics from my phone:

I also just popped a 'Freeway Blaster Horn' on. Nothing much to say about it except that yes it's 130db loud but I thought it would sound louder. I got the high tone because I know the human ear can hear that pitch louder than the lower tones. A newborn baby's cry is actually at optimal pitch. It was $15 from amazon, free shipping. My stock horn was sometimes useless. There have been occasions lately where the driver didn't react in the least to my chicken-chaser beep beep. Not even a look over the shoulder to see what that curiously annoying sound was. This is especially true on our over caffeinated, congested motorways in southern CA.
I will paint the back of it black, it's ugly as-is. If it's not too hard, I would like to add the low tone to the right side for a proper big-rig sound!

And lastly, I put a 'shift sock' on my shifter a few months ago. This was before I got real riding boots and I didn't want to scuff my office boots. As you can see, it didn't last very long. Why would it? It's neoprene with some sort of spongy rubber that's not even rubber... I don't know. I ride to work every day so that's a factor but you could probably already guess this wouldn't last long from their website so no news here but thought I'd share.
In their defense, it did actually work though. Not for very long though.

Next little thing will be 2 .125" dark red stripes that will go down the center of the fenders and tank. About 3/4" apart. I will try putting some on the inside bevel of the gauges too. All to echo the two red stripes in the Magna logo. Got dark red to look a little more classic but the tape is so cheap I may try bright red if it doesn't look right.
Keeping it cheep and cheerful for now. Little by little eh.
Nice Job on the Sea Foam!!!
That is a nice looking bike. Just be careful that nobody trips on the red roller skate I saw laying next to it in a couple of the pics.

hehe, yeah. I picked it up for $2k last November. It came with the floorboards, cobra light bar, cobra slash cut exhausts and a large windshield. I'm very slowly turning it into a more drag-like, sporty bike, even though out of necessity, I do need to keep saddlebags on it as it's my only vehicle (apart from the family car but that's my wife's car which I very seldom drive except when I'm driving the fam of course).
I'd like to remove the floorboards and light bar to streamline it. I figure by selling those two I can get pegs and two small, bright lights up front - hopefully.
I don't think I mentioned, the grip pads have a repositionable adhesive on them. They don't leave any glue on the paint. It's basically a thin sheet of adhesive.
Just added the .125" dark red stripe down the center of the bike. I was going to do two red stripes but I started by putting a single line down the tank so I could more accurately put one on either side of it, maybe 3/8" away on either side of center. Well, I liked it with one stripe so it's staying.
I just used 3M's pin striping ScotchCal tape. I thought the dark red would be too dark but once on the tank it's barely darker than the bright red on the logo. It took maybe 20 minutes including cleaning the area, taking seat off and on and tending to my 2 1/2 yr old daughter waving a ratchet in her hand.
Remembered seafoam placement too late. I'd photoshop it in there but I'd rather make a cup of tea. It's there in spirit.
