If you name is not listed and you plan to go, PLEASE send me a PM or Email letting me know. Thanks.
Of those planning on attending, need to know if you will be camping or hotel/motel type accommodations please? Thank you.
I am planning on hotel/motel. I would also like to say for those that are coming from the South. If you want to leave a day earlier and come to East Texas and spend the night, we will open our house up. We can throw sleeping bags everywhere if we need to. It will break up that long ride in one day. Just let me know.
Man, I got through sleeping outdoors decades ago!!
Will be reserving a motel/cabin -- something indoors. I will share a room to save $$$, but I am picky -- no snoring, please!
What a nice offer, Jim. If I trailer, will probably just make a long day of it, but if I ride, breaking up the trip, especially for overnight at your house, will be a real blessing. Thanks loads.

I will just see IF I can make it next year!!!
I'm not picky (but I have been known to snore a little) I guess I won't be rooming with Lawrence, or IF I do, I may wind up Tenting it soon after I go to sleep!!!
At $45'ish a night, IF you can share a room with a couple of people, it can be pretty reasonable..
So Hoot, if you only snore "a little", I could deal with that. I have a very good friend and former business partner that I ride with and fish with, and he even gets a separate room when he travels with his WIFE -- because I own a chain saw that doesn't make as much noise as he does when he sleeps.
Tell you what -- if you come, I will gladly share a room with you, and bring ear plugs if necessary
Not to divert the thread, but I was MUCH worse before my sinus surgery.. When I was in Boot Camp, others would try to slip into bed early to get to sleep before me because If I went to sleep 1st, they couldn't get to sleep.. I usually go to sleep in about 2 minutes.. Yes this was in a big 80 rack barracks..
You know how boot camp is, you're not supposed to do anything early/late, etc.. So it must have been bad!!!
My wife says it's much better since the surgery, but I think they are all lying.. I lay right there every night and I don't hear me snore at all.. (Actually I have woken myself up several times (Pre-Surgery)..
Thanx for the offer.. we shall see what the future holds..
Now IF I can just get my other group to show up about the same time in the same place!!! Moot 1st though..
Wish this was closer than 1,300 miles from me.
I have had folks arrive at this very location from New Jersey, California, Houston, and Wyoming. YOU can make it!
Camping for us!
Will try to do hotel / cabin again. Although I'm still young and dumb (ok, just dumb) enough to LOVE roughing it.
We will be seeking other than camping accommodations!!!

Marc has posted a lot lately, proof is in the numbers! ;)
It also helps that when you are an admin on the board you can change those numbers willy nilly. LOL.
I will be trailering the bike up again this year with the family and planning on staying in a motel. Not sure if we will try to make it in one day or not yet.
Jim says it is about 7 hours from Van, Texas. I figure at least four hours to Van from Austin. If I have another rider with me, we could make it in a day, trading off drivers. I guess you are another three hours south of me, at least. Would be a very long day, especially if you have no other driver with you.
I think I am going to camp this year or at least try it
Is there lodging information available yet? My wife has been bugging me not to wait until the last minute.......again. LOL.
We have a place picked but are letting the guy steam abit so we can get a better deal...
LOL, are we still letting the guy stew????
Marc
Hey everyone, if there is any place or venue that you guys need me to look at in Eureka Springs, just let me know. I live about 35 minutes away. I would be happy to take pics or whatever anyone needed.
Actually I just need to give the guy a call back...... Been crazy in the early evening when I get off work lately. Will find time and get it accomplished soon as possible.
Check 1st post for the non camper accommodations at the Coutry Mountain Inn.
Allen is working on info for the camping folks.
Well, I hopped right up on this and called both numbers. Got a recording that they are closed until March 1, that we should have a happy holiday, and they look forward to hearing from us in the spring.
So much for early birds -- no worm this time.
I got the same results when I called guess I will have to wait until March when the worms come out.
cmi@arkansas.net
Is Mike's email. I emailed him telling him what I wanted, he mentioned that he would confirm it in March LoL.. Might still send him an email......
INFO UPDATE.
They ask that we do not litter on the grounds. I guess they have had motorcycle groups in the past and they have thrown cigarette butts, trash, etc on the property. I told him he would not have to worry about this, as MOOT is and always has been respectful of our host sites.
I have added a link for the Campgrounds which are right across the street from the Hotel we do not have that many campers so no discount but please let them know you are with MOOT so they can keep us together if possible.

Couple of questions: How many of you make this a family event? What does the family do while you're riding? If you are bringing kids, how old are they?
Since I've always wanted to go to Eureka Springs I was thinking this might be the opportunity. Just want to make sure the whole family would be having fun. My two youngest kids are 14 and 17 so they would be able to get around as needed since I'd have to trailer.
Made my reservations today have room 101 come on June.
David I have taken my kids several times, there is usually a few and we try and have information available on area things of interest etc so they can enjoy the event as well.
Made motel reservations for MM9 today. I let him know that I was with Magna Owners of TX, and he indicated that I was the first Magna owner to res. a room. Let's get crackin'!

I think it was Lowell that mentioned it... What about the MOOTMaG registration fee?
NO fee this year.... Going to keep it on the minimal side..
I delivered fence material to berryville today. Berryville is east of Eureka springs by about 12 miles. I drove right past the MOOTmag motel every one is staying at 2 times today. Pretty place on the east side of town. The RV facility across the road was completely full due to spring break this week. Gonna be fun!
I've been trying to arrainge my schedule so I could attend my first MOOTMag because a long ride and some time off sounds awesome. (Cycle-Therapy) So I was Googling Eureka Springs seeing what all there was to do there and I signed into some site that I cant remember. Since then, I have received an email from every restaurant in town and probably every attraction for miles of the town. There is alot going on there. Do y'all attend many of the local attractions and happenings during MM?

I'm there now!!!!!!!
We try and have information on local attractions etc and leave plenty of time for folks to learn, enjoy, and see the area. We ride but not all the time, things are flexible to fit just about anyones interests.
Reservations made at motel. Plan to be there.....
Reserved room 105 down the hall from everyone else.
My plan is ride over Saturday morning and ride all day with everyone. About a 45 minute ride from my house to Eureka. :-D
Anybody that is camping please call the camp grounds and let them know you are coming there webpage has changed but made the corrections on the first post here. Thanks
Reservations made at the Kettle Campground. He's putting all the Magnas together.
We should be getting in around 2:00 P.M. or so on Wednesday the 15th. We are going to take the Indian Nation Turnpike through Tulsa and then across U.S. 412 through the Ozark National Forest. Should be a nice ride!
Trent-
I already had a route planned, almost all two-lanes, if you want to ride together(along with Deb in the Matrix).
Brad
just talked with campkettle, they do have all our reservations. He said we do not need to call
If you are planning on camping call if you have made your reservations do not call. When I talked to her a few weeks ago she said no one had made any reservations when I talked to her hence the reminder to call and make them.

Great plan. If you find a big diamond, you can buy all the MOOTMAG attendees a new bike!! -- Well, maybe an evening beer, at least.
I spent a couple of days at Crater of Diamonds a few years ago with the kids. Brought home a whole bucket of rocks but not one single diamond.
It looks like I'm going this year! I was thinking I would ride all the way from Katy to Hot Springs on 6/14 but now I might have to find this Diamond Crater so I can start working on my retirement plan! Actually just glad I can get off work and ride (that better not change). Time to start making plans and reserving rooms.

Reservations made at the Country Mountain Inn, now I just hope nothing gets in the way.
Reservations made for Wed-Thurs at Country Mountain Inn. Room 109. Going to leave Friday during the day and ride half way home so I can be home Saturday at a decent hour. Family still threatening to disown me if I am not home Saturday so the family can all get together on Fathers day. Looks like my first MOOTMag will only be half a MOOTMag but that's OK, I'm getting 6 days of much needed riding.

Yea I see that in Google street view ; looks like a good place to meet-up the 1 & 2 groups.
IAW MS Street &Trips I estimate arriving there about 10am
assuming no long stops prior
heres a route plan and estimate times w two 15min fuel and a 30 min food break
rough wag
730 depart Rockwall
757 Caddo Mills
852 Paris
925 Clarksville
1000 Idabell fuel
1054 DeQueen
1146 Mena food
141 Ft Smith
241 Springdale fuel
358 Eureka Springs
alternate route up 23 (Pigtrail from Mena)
730 depart Rockwall
757 Caddo Mills
852 Paris
925 Clarksville
1000 Idabell fuel
1054 DeQueen
1146 Mena food
130 Booneville
214 Osark fuel
429 Eureka Springs
Thanks Big Jim, I am hoping to make it Thursday, I should know for sure by Wednesday.
Hey Greg O the first fuel stop you have is Idabell right we may have to stop before that taking into account any Magnas that ride with us and they do not get the range we get on our Valks.
Group 4 (Brad, his family, Karen, and I) are going to try being in Eureka Springs around 3:30. We are leaving meeting in Tecumseh at 8:00 and heading NE via back roads. I think meeting in Ft Smith will put us in later than we want. I am violently opposed to setting up camp in the dark!
We'll check in with the TX crowd from time to time via cell ans see how the routs overlap, but I think we better not plan on a rendezvous unless it just works out well.
In the Air Force our link ups with the KC-135 Tankers some times less organized than planned. Those were generally called "low rent rendezvous".  That's what we'll figure on having if we meet up. 8-)
Well, gee whiz, if you are going to get up before breakfast, then just go on...

yea
however I just put in a 15 min fuel stops for time hacks...doesn't matter where
BTW I will be pulling a mc luggage trailer as well and don't yet know what that'll do to range for my Valk
So
we will can be flexible and figure it out as we go...stop as needs arise
BTW we can fuel up in Rockwall at the Chevron Ridge Road & I 30
And the route I planned have plenty of small towns along the way for fuel and drink needs
Cool sounds great so ready for Wendsday
If anyone has any questions regarding roads or routes, fell free to ask me. I have ridden them all. Anyone riding up and wants to go up highway 7, don't forget to ride the "Arkansas Dragon" on highway 123 out of Lurton. Just rode it again last sunday. Stupid fun!

Terry, I'm hoping to ride over friday after work and hang out for a while. And maybe ride saturday with everyone. Depends on if I have to work saturday or not.
I would expect to leave my place to head over and hook up with Greg O & Kathy by no later than 0645.
Looks like I'm going to be able to make it. The slave driver boss (self-employed) is going to let me off. Does anyone need a room mate? I only have the same requirement as Lawrence, no loud snoring. :-D
If the Country Mountain Inn is full what other places are there? I'm not packing camping gear this year 'round.

I stayed at Apple Blossom Inn once and it was clean and owner was friendly
You can pretty much just show up without any rooms reserved and find a place to stay in Eureka. There are plenty motels and hotels and cabins around the area.
Thanks, everyone. Looks like Lawrence and I will be bunk mates unless he kicks me out for snoring.
