Bump.
A good, Definite, Maybe from me!!!
Really want to go to this one since I have never been to a MOOTMag or Eureka Springs. Can't make plans this far in advance with my job though. My reply will stay in the Maybe.
I didn't get to vote but you can definitely put me down for a maybe. I would really like to go this time but cant make plans this far in advance. Its been awhile since I have even met with any Moot members. I need to at least attend some rides or wrench sessions.
Add me to the would like to go but can't plan that far in advance group.
Planning comlete! We will be there and camping.
I will attend. I missed the vote thought :(
Need to look at what is avalable. If its not hot as hell I would tent camp, otherwise?
Would like to attend, if I can sweet-talk the wife into it. :)
MattG, get to talking! LoL.. Seriously these events are family oriented and significant others are very much encouraged to attend...
Does anyone bring a guitar for some tunes around the campfire?

I take that's a NO.

Hey, help yourself. I might be fun. I was just tweaking you a bit.
I have enough stuff to load on the bike without musical instruments. However, if I trailer to Eureka Springs (likely), then I might dig mine out of the dust, fit on some new strings, and see if I can remember anything at all on the fretboard. Let me know if you are bringing instruments.

I took it as such, but yea, a little guitar is good.
If I get to go I will bring my guitar as long as there will be someone there that can play it!

Thank you! ..........thank you very much. :-P
I could bring my Double Bass!
LOL
could you see a guy hauling a double bass on a motorcycle?
Just kidding. I don't have a double bass.
I do have a Washburn electric 4 string Bass guitar, unfortunately, or fortunately, I don't know how to play.
I have access to numerous guitars, just don't ask me to play any of them.
I am taking up the BANJO
How do you take up a banjo?
Ok Ok learning the Banjo LOL

I am glad to see this clarified. I presumed that, since Eureka Springs is north of Houston, and also higher than Houston, that he meant he was taking a banjo up to Eureka Springs. I presumed he already knew how to play one...
QuoteI presumed he already knew how to play one...
That could be a scary presumption  !!
Well, we are planning a motorcycle gathering, not a hootenanny, so anyone who chooses to listen to our music does so at his own risk -- just like in riding with us.

Wasn't that in TN or KY? <no pun intended!!!>
Deliverance was shot in the Tallulah Gorge southeast of Clayton, Georgia and on the Chattooga River, dividing the states of Georgia and South Carolina. Additional scenes were shot as well in Salem, South Carolina and Sylva, North Carolina. A scene was also shot at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church cemetery, which now lies 100 m (300 feet) under the surface of Lake Jocassee, South Carolina.[7]
It's really creepy that you guys know so much about "Deliverance".
This about sums it up!!!

I think I can actually make i this year for my first MOOTMag. Should be able to confirm in the next week. I'll pretend my RSTD is a Magna for the week.
How to join the club? I actually might be free for that week in June and it is only 815 miles from my house in MN to the inn you guys are staying at, it is awfully temping!!!!! I would love to go on some sort of adventure, I always wanted to ride my bike a long ways lol.

It is ~ 600 miles from my home in Austin, Texas, so your trip would be a bit longer than mine. We would love to see you there. How you "join the club" is:
1) Call and make a reservation:

2) Show up!
going to make it, coming in with Lawrence and Rick.

Something funny to note, is that it would actually be further for a friend who lives in El Paso Texas than for me coming from Northern MN. I don't know this far in advance but potentially in a week or two it just seems like it would be an awesome adventure...
Wow sounds great, I will be checking my schedule!
Well we would love to have you there MOOTMag is always great
IT will be fun! Come on out and take a chance on MOOT!
I'm hoping to make it for the weekend.

Really sorry to hear that Jim. We'll pray for a quick recovery. Let's us know if there's anyting we can do to help, some of us are fairly close by and could 'lend a hand'.

Jim, if you decide not to go, Rick and I can hole up elsewhere along the way. On the other hand, if you decide to go, I will be more than happy to ride your Valk to ES from Van -- you can ride in the truck with Rick!! :-) :-)

Lawrence i appreciate the offer to ride valk, to keep from clogging carbs, but i have other plans.
if i do not need surgery and only a cast i am going to tell doc he only gets the index finger for cast. i can shift with 3 fingers. no reason cast should go past elbow

News is not good, doc says i can not grip, lift or grasp anything for 8 weeks minimum. Break is in the knuckle, right now it is in place but any shift would mean surgery. I still have to see a hand specialist Pulling clutch handle is a nono. So I guess riding at mootmag is out. Lawrence you and Rick are still welcome to stay.
