Title: Larger stock brake caliper?
Post by: whisperer on September 23, 2010, 04:13:23 AM
On my 94 Magna 750 the front caliper mount has 2 holes in the lower end. The stock caliper is bolted to the single upper one and the next lower hole. There is another mounting hole about 3/4" beyond that with nothing bolted to it but it sure looks like another hole to mount a larger caliper to. What's the skinny on this? Is there an optional caliper that can be mounted just by bolting it in?

Never noticed the hole before, know of no other caliper to work. Bracket must be used on another bike also.

My friend just put Yamaha R1 calipers on his Yamaha VMAX.  Was a direct bolt on replacement.  I wonder if we have something similar with the VFR or other...
