Title: It took 2 years but I finally got the CB900C on the road!!!!!

Still need to balance the carbs to smooth things out, but she's running and much nicer for two-up than the V45 according to my wife :lol:

Very nice.. Do you still have air shocks on it, or did you convert??

My friends 1000c is still down due to the carbs..  :x

Well, congratulations, Ken.  I know it has been a long haul, but perseverance and sweat paid off in the end!

So when you want to go alone.......the V45 looks pretty good! ;-)

Oh yeah Lightning is my daily ride 4 sure!!!

Any hints on, reviews of carb balancing tools?

Ken, I have a "mercury stick" -- basically a pool of mercury and four hard plastic tubes mounted against a calibrated board.  One connects the tops of the tubes to the ports at each intake using the flexible plastic tubing that came with it, and amid all the bouncing mercury, adjust for equal average levels in the mercury in the four tubes.  Pretty simple, really.
