Title: Here's one for you guys!
Post by: jccbone62 on June 02, 2011, 10:06:14 PM
I have a 1984 Magna V65 that has a slow leak on the front tire.  Now here's my surprise.... the leak was found to be where the Cast Alumnimun part of the rim attaches to the Chrome part of the rim.  Directly in the seam where the alumnimun is supposed to be bonded to the chrome!

Has anyone seen this problem before?  If so, what did you do to correct the problem?

Could run an inner tube, epoxy, JB Weld or might be able to braze it except your chrome would be discolored or toast.

I have not personally seen this but I have heard that this was an issue as the Rims were cast and well somehow porous someone on here will chime in but you are not the first.. I do not know of a cure except as Terry stated maybe a tube.
