We just rolled into home returning from MOOTMAg 9. We had a terrific time. Thanks everyone for a another great trip, awesome rides, fantastic camaraderie, lots laughs,, it ended too soon. Greg and Kathy
made it home about 3:00 came in and sat in the shower for about 20 minutes. It got hot on the way home lol. Thanks for a great time as usually. Give me about a hour and I will be ready for the next one.
Brad, Karen and I arrived in Tecumseh around 3:30 after taking the scenic route through western Oklahoma. He broke the formation and at last sighting lead was streaking west on Hy 9 for Norman OK and a rumored night out with the Mrs.
Karen and I are just going to set! Man, was it hot and WINDY in our part of Oklahoma.
We have lots of pics and will post a ride report of the trip home in the near future!
Arrived home safely about 1:30 had a great time with a bunch of great people looking forward to the next one. Happy Fathers day to all you Fathers.
Got loaded up this morning and started to pull out of the drive way at Country Mountain Inn only to feel the bike jump left then right then left.... Damn reat tire came off the rim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEP I took out another tire at MOOTMag, thats 4 times out of 9 events... Still have yet to find out why the tire went flat, had lots of tread etc. JUST extremely lucky it happened while still at the inn. AND with MOOT'sters there to help. Mr. Shireman (savior) off loaded one of his Valks, and loaded up mine its its place on the trailer. Kristi and I road his home where we swapped them on the trailer again and home went David. THANKS MAN! You are awesome.
We made it home about an hour ago and climbed into a cool shower!!! Man is it HOT!
Awesome time! Great people! Super fun place to ride! Will post pics later..
I'm back. More later.
Tailed Greg and Kristi home had a great time and will cook for all my friends anytime. Hope everyone had a great time and ready for next year lets get to planning...
Troy and I lauched at 4am..
We did not ride together..
All went well.. WELL until....
About 3/4 of the way back to Mongomery I'm running along at 80 MPH like I had most of the day.. I hit the point that I expected to hit reserve on the tank.. I was right at an exit for gas.. The engine started to cough, I switched to reserve and hit the exit.. But the engine continued to sputter.. I got into the gas station no problem.. I put some seafoam in the tank and filled the tank.. After some water to drink, Off I went.. The bike continued to feel like it was running on 3 cylinders.. I still had 120 miles to go.. I ran for two exits and then pulled into another gas station..
I pulled all 4 spark plugs ( I have 4 cylinders).. They all looked OK.. None were wet.. So, It looked like Carbs and not electrical. The Magna is know for very small slow speed jets and they trash up very easy..
I ran another 50 miles and the highway ended.. The whole time the bike felt like 3 cylinders..
I hit a light red just before the next highway... I waited.. The light turned green and Zoom.. the Magna was back, full strength.. Looks like the SeaFoam worked, it just took time.. It ran fine all the way back to Montgomery from there..
Arrived in Montgomery about 5pm..
Arrived home in Norman at 3:30. Sure was a 'lot' of hot air coming from Texas on the way home. There is no fast way out of Eureka Springs, in any direction. Great seeing familiar MOOTsters and meeting Mr. 'Hootman', all the way from Tampa, FL. And Troy 'Ironbutt' from VA. Thanks Alan for the great cookout Sat. eve.

Had a great time seeing everyone on Friday night. Of course I was home in about an hour and 40 miles later. Sure wanted to ride with everyone on Saturday, but I done my good deed and instead took more fence material to joplin to help get that town back up and running. Turned out to be a good thing because many contractors were completely out of fabric and was waiting on me to get up there saturday morning to get fence around the power substations. Looking forward to next year!! :-D
Got home this morning. Got too cold to continue wet last night. Still made my 1K miles for the second iron butt trip but not able to do the full 1183 safely.
Big thank you to Hootmon for badaging me up @ 4 AM... (he put a bandaid on my elbow)
Also a thank you to Allen for staying clothed while we shared a hotel room.
Lastly a HUGE thanks for everybody being so nice and making it a great time.

Ding, Ding, Ding.
We have a winner!
Rick and I arrived at my place in Austin about 8:30 last night. After a night's sleep, we unloaded the bikes from the trailer and truck, and Rick left for SA about 7:15 this morning. We followed Jim T. to IH30, then left him to ride on home alone. It was a long HOT day.
Jesse's bike is safely locked in my trailer, awaiting his recovery. Thanks to all who helped load and secure it.
Had a great time riding and talking.
Lawrence, is Jesse alright? I was only there from 6-930 friday night.
All this from people that cannot cook. :P :) :P
Also see what you miss by not making MOOTMAG that will teach ya :-)
After a good nights sleep at Lawrence's I took the long way home. I was able to get here before 100 degrees. That is 10AM in San Antonio.

Just arrived in Safety Harbor..
All I can say is that the Jetson's kept running through my head..
"Jane... Get me off this crazy thing!!!"
Otherwise uneventful ride today.. Just LOTS of HEAT!!!
Jesse's condition is unclear. He is experiencing difficulty with his left ear, and thought it wise not to ride home. He is subject to further medical examination soon, so we should know more in a few days.
Rob and Sylvia gave him a ride home in her pickup (two seat variety). I left before they did, but can only imagine it was a bit crowded.
Had I suspected that a group of motorcycle riders were such fine folks, I would have started back years ago. I am amazed at how these folks help each other out.
Many thanks to those who planned the rides, bought the food, cooked the food, donated the awards, donated funds, etc. -- I am sure there are others I am not listing, but it was a super great time. Only about 360 days to next time...
Hey Everyone,
Rob, Sylvia, and I made it back to Houston late, but safe. On the way down I-45 there was a large forest fire that shut down the interstate and surrounding highways. So we had to jog over to Bryan / College Station and come into Houston on Highway 6. That added an extra couple of hours.
Rob, Sylvia and I had a good time shooting the breeze during our trip. I want to thank them for giving me a ride back to Houston.
Thanks again to Lawrence for being a good room mate and taking my bike back to Texas. And also thanks all the Mootsters who helped load the bike.
It was great seeing everyone and I really appreciate the ones who came from so far away.
