Title: 84 Magna rear Turn signal wiring ?
Post by: Bunky67 on July 11, 2011, 07:20:06 PM
The stems and Rear turn signals were in rough shape on my 84 Magna 700,  well I bought some after market lights, but instead of the wiring coming out of the side of the bolts of the stem, the wiring comes out the end of the stem is there  good way to route this or should I try and drill the side of the stem ???

Do you know if the stems you are replacing are factory? On my old vf700c should an 84' same as yours all turn signal wiring came out the ends of the stems, and when I replaced the stems when I dropped the bike the new ones from the Honda dealer were the same. Are the wires not long enough, or are you having trouble pushing them through, I remember I had a really hard time getting them through the replacement stems but using some skinny dowling helped.  Good luck.

My problem is this I'm not using stems and aftermarket lights,   the wires come out the end of the stems rather then the side like the originals, so I either have to drill the stems or reroute the wires through the fender or something,
