Title: Need parts
Post by: Shortround on March 14, 2006, 01:15:42 PM
I crashed my '96 Magna 750 C. I am in need of a left turn signal, foot peg and shifter with linkage.

Mind I'm in northeast Wisconsin and this was the first ride of the season. I was going around a slight right hand bend in the road at about 65. While returning a wave from another bike I hit some little stutter bumps. This caused the front to start twisting back and forth before I could get my hand back on the bars.
This caused me to loss control and went left and rode the guard rail for about 30'. Came off for another 30' and went off the road down a slight slope. The bike and I did two corkscrew rolls to the right. The road was covered with wet sod. I then slide another 80' on my right side. I was still hanging on when we stopped.
The other rider probably didn't see any of this. And 10 cars went by before one stopped. He got me help. The bike and I were covered in mud and sod. And my pants leg was almost tore off. I am bruised from angle to waist on the left side. Nothing broken and no open wounds. Just swelling, pain and a lot of different colors. And a messed up bike.
I was wearing high top lass up work boots that probably saved my ankle from worse.

Thought it might be helpful to others. I won't be getting to this soon. Right now my truck is in the body shop to.  :x

Good pictures/sad event. When my '98 went down I had a lot of mud/sod stuck everywhere.
Sorry you had that experience but glad you came out with nothing broken but your bike and a few bruises (ugly ones at that!)
Good luck getting the parts and hope you get back on soon!!
At 65 that must have been a scary event!

Sorry about the accident Shortround.  I have the pegs and stuff off of my '95 that might help you out.  I will try to locate where I stored them tonight and give you another shout.
I put forward controls on mine and they sure are nice.

Thanks Greggo. Hope we can make a deal.

I believe it was somebody that lurks here that sent an email about a set of rear turn signals. I would like to speak with you again. Sorry I had already deleted your email.

Thanks Greggo. What do you want for them? How much for shipping? It cost $27 to have a leather jacket and helmet shipped from Texas as I recall. rvanharen@ez-net.com
