Hello all, I am curious if anyone knows of an aftermarket 4 into 2 (slashcut would be nice) exhaust set up for the V65. It seems that SuperTrapp used to make a set as well as Formula 1 and Jardine, but after hours of searching I cannot find anything currently available. I cannot stand that my wife's V45 sounds more manly than my V65 lol. I'd like to find a set of mufflers that look similar to the stock style but have a deeper tone than the 1000 weed-eater sound that my V65 has currently.

Thanks for the link! If the inner baffles are removed from stock pipes, will that mess with the required back pressure or anything? I don't want to be burning holes in the top of my pistons all because I wanted my 1100 to sound more manly than my wifes 750 lol!!
Will not hurt a thing, I have had this mod done for the last 4 years! I have done this to many bikes and everyone loves it.
Removing baffles etc will increase the flow of the muffler some. WHICH will lean them out some. Maybe not enough to worry, but I would atleast open up the slow speed jet some.
Jumbobret, I drilled out all of the indentions with a 3/8 bit, except for the one hiding in the center stand retainer bracket weld. I cannot even figure out how to safely remove the outer baffle lol. I cannot get even a flat head let alone a small pribar to get between the outer baffle and the muffler skin. I've tried jently, but not so jently, applying vice grips to the inner ring of the outer baffle in order to try to yank it out, but still it will not budge. Are they typically very snug and very difficult to remove or am I just goobering it up?

You need to clamp a set of vice grips onto the exhaust pipe. Then hit the vice grips with a hammer.

Yes the outer baffle is the harder one to remove, cuz you do not want to damage it. Be VERY careful using vise grips. If you drilled it properly it WILL come out. Hell, call me 682-556-6400
