Title: chain tensioner
Post by: Magnum Magna on February 21, 2012, 11:46:01 PM

I am thinking I have a chain tensioner problem.
Terry looked at it with me. He is much more knowledgeable then I.
After revving the engine there is whirring sound like the chain is coasting to a stop.
Not the normal raddling sound when a tensioner goes bad.
I have ordered the front and rear tensioner I am hopeful it will be in Friday.

99.99999% chance you'll be sending the rear one back for a refund because I have never heard or seen the rear one go bad, it's always the front.  What is probably happening is that the spring isn't fully broken yet so the tensioner isn't fully collapsing or retracting yet.
