Title: Engine Guard
Post by: Greg Cothern on April 01, 2006, 01:18:58 PM
Anyone install a M/C Enterprise engine guard on their bike?  I am in need of the factory frame to engine mount spacers.  Devs 96 had an engine guard on it and with the forward controls we put on the guard had to come off.  The PO did not give us the factory spacers.

Greg, If you can find out the measurements I can make you some of the spacers.

Jeff that would be great!  I used a caliper I just bought hehehe, they need to be 30mm in length, 20 mm in diamter, and a hole for the bolt to go through.  The bolt is a 10mm.
I need 2 of them, they appear to be just aluminum but you would probably know much better than I.
I greatly appreciate it!!!!!

No need to do that. I believe I have the spacers.  I will check tomorrow.

An easy way to tell if it is aluminum or steel is to stick a magnet to it, it won't stick to aluminum.

Greg, I found mine. They are yours if you want them, unless you find them closer to home and want to get a hold of them faster. Otherwise PM your address to me and I'll drop them in the mail. I'll understand if you don't want to wait on the mail... :) I imagine you can't finish the job until you have these spacers in place.
