What size dia. is the fuel line coming off of the petcock? Can not find listed anywhere, and don't trust my judgement or eyesight. Am planning to add a 3 gal. aux. tank and need the correct size connections, etc. Thanks.

I think I finally found it at auto zone. I am thinking it was 3/4 but will look to see.
I will post tomorrow if right or wrong.
The dia. is either 3/16, 1/4, or 3/8. (inside dia.).

I doubt it is any of the above. Metric...
Size is 3/8
Let us know how the 3 gal aux tank goes. One of my big complaints is the wimpy tank.
Thanks for the info. I went with 5/16 line and connections and will adapt at the T past the petcock. I ride to Rowlett or Rockwall several times a year from Norman,OK, and would like not to stop for fuel. And could only refuel when the Valks refuel.

You go Brad.. I find on long trips... When the tank is empty, my rear is ready!
So now you have 6.7 gallons??? By my miles per gallon that would put me at 225+ 3/4 a gallon for reserve. How is it working? Are you able to use all the gas from the spare tank??
Finally got the tank on today. Had to hunt for different connections than the kit that came with the tank had. Took a 6 mi ride, so far, no leaks, fumes, etc. When I took the Magna tank off, the vent tube hose was off, so that was the answer to the strong gas smell after a ride that I was smelling. Riding to Lawton, OK Sat., so I should not have to fill up at Lawton to get back to Norman. I will take picks as soon as my youngest can drop by home and help me send them to the forum.

Got 123 mis. on the aux tank (~2.8 gal), turn Main tank on, and turn aux tank off. Keep on rolling for another ~ 120 mis., if needed. Will need to change setting on rear shocks to adjust for the high rear weight (~30 lbs. filled).
