Second amendment bike
I want one.
That is one cool looking bike.
Charles son had a cool looking bike. It was small 175 or 250 or something. Had ammo boxes for saddle bags.
Right after getting Brenda's bike I found a Russan bike with side car it was so cool.
It was two wheel drive and it had a non functioning machine gun on the front of the sidecar.
If i remember correctly the motorcycle dealership was in Houston Texas.

Ural?
Yes. Looks like they have stopped the gun and went with something more practical like a spotlight.

If you're talking about this bike:

Yes that is. Sorry. I remember now. We thought it looked cool.

Thanks. Charles painted it for him and despises the color. :-D He always say's he'll deny he painted it.
Unless I have missed them have not seen Charles post in awhile.
My wife and I, with another couple, still get together with him and Brenda most Friday nights. We don't even call it bike night any more, because we rarely ever go on our bikes.
None of us ride as much as we did and Charles just isn't very active on the boards any more. I touch on that a little in my last blog. A friend of a Different Caliber. (http://www.texarkanagazette.com/Bikers-Blog/2012/10/25/a-friend-of-a-different-caliber/)
He's still as nice a guy as ever. He just doesn't socialize very much any more.

Thanks, Guy. Glad to know he is all right. Tell him we said "Hi" when you see him next.
The bike at the top of this post is a flat four honda goldwing. Neat concept.
I remember Brandon with his bike at the Beaver's Bend MOOTMaG. He was trying to get it started and once it did the carb was leaking gas and it caught fire momentarily. He was beating it out and got frustrated at that point.
It is a good looking eye catcher.
CALL AMC THE WALKING DEAD LOL. THATS A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE BIKE RIGHT THERE.
I would give up riding the back roads if I had to carry a gun for protection. That is so sad!
We always think the grass is greener (I'm sure it is in Texas, for sure not here in Nova Scotia today) on the other side of the fence, but be careful what you wish for. Spring will be a while coming yet; just getting my bikes ready for the summer (May 2014).
Cheers!

I don't want to misrepresent this area as a post apocalypse shootout. I full well expect that I will never have to use my weapon. Part of the reason is that I stay away, as much as I can, from places and events where I would need it. I no longer flip off or scream at idiots who cut me off in traffic or do other stupid and inconsiderate things. Because in any conflict I get into now, the is a firearm present. My ego is not my amigo.
What I'm preparing for is a very low probability, but extremely high impact scenario. Bad people live everywhere, and just hoping for the best never works. In the UK, the assault rate tripled in the 10 years following gun control and it doubled in Australia. There were more murders, though fewer with guns, following gun legislation. The simple fact is, unarmed people are easier to hurt. (my Blog "Worlds apart" (http://www.texarkanagazette.com/Bikers-Blog/2012/12/20/worlds-apart/) covers some of this with links to source material if you'd care to check it out.)
I don't ride as much as I did, but the reason is less about safety than this:

Oooohhh, Guy! Cool toy!!
I, too, have observed that when I am carrying, (which is most of the time), I am more careful to avoid confrontation. I have learned, over the years, to let the idiots that dash around and cut me off, etc. to just go on -- I care, but refuse to react.
Riding a motorcycle has also contributed to my adjusted attitude about traffic jerks, parking space bandits, obnoxious loud "music", etc.
HMMMM.
Maybe MOOTMaG 2014 needs to combine some bike riding with and afternoon of combat pistol action on the Frio.
Not sure if Jill would appreciate the gun fire though.(http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-violent018.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)

Is that a stock color for the BMW? Beautiful.

That is a stock paint job. There's a couple of hail dents on the hood, and the front bumper has some damage. There's some paint cracked off and a hairline crack on the passenger side. It just needs some fiberglass, paint, and somebody with enough gumption to get to it. I can buy the first two items. Not sure what happened to the last item.

Guy, none of that stuff shows in the picture. Were it not for your hat, we could see your big smile better, which is all the beautification necessary, IMO.
