I found out today that DD has a plan to up the 3rd gen Magna to 770.
I thought that all his work was with the vintage engines. I think the whole deal would cost around $1000 for the parts for it.
That sounds like a MOOT project, Greg why don't you buy the parts and we can help do the work and see the finished product? LOL

The current V4 in the VFR Interceptor is a 781 with VTEC. Now that would be a sweet improvement as well. I don't know if they're getting the 781 out of the same block we have on the Magnas.
Personally, I don't know if I'd want to go through all the trouble to get an extra 20 cc. It would really depend on the performance increase. I think I'd have a much better time pestering Honda until they came out with a larger V4 and dropped it into a new Magna. :D

Jesse, while you're pestering them ask them for a 1800 fuel injected Valk Interstate as well............no sense in me upgrading only HALF my stable! 8) :lol: 8)

It would be trouble but I think it would be worth it because the key to the Magna is its handling. With the bore, cam and piston kit you retain the shape and size of the Magna. You know probably better than I do the way it feels leaning into the curves and shooting out the other end. There is a great balance there.

My Magna is only the second bike I've ever owned. I do have to say the handling and power is much better than my Virago. That's why I'd love to see the new VFR Engine in it with the VTEC. The 2006 VFR engine is supposed to have an amazing power curve with plenty of oomph in the mid-range.
My next major mechnical upgrade is going to be to the suspsension... unless I do the exhaust first. It's amazing the HP increase you can get from the V&H exhaust and DD shim/jet kit.
