Title: Installing Braided SS Brake Lines
Post by: arbadacarba on February 27, 2013, 07:16:03 PM
I picked up a Russel Braided Stainless Steel Brake Line on eBay for 12$ and am trying to install it. I've pulled the old line and dicovered the outside diameter of the new line is smaller than the original.

Has anyone found a good solution to the two spots where the line is held to the bike under the lower tripple tree and on the fender?

I'm thinking about glueing some rubber matterial under the stock rubber rings.

If I recall correctly, I just used some electrical tape and built it up on the line sufficiently to hold it.  If not that, maybe try a couple of grommets, slice them open, wrap around the line, squeeze into the holder.
