Title: Tool kit pouch replacement?
Post by: hop along on February 22, 2014, 01:00:15 PM
After a good run, my tool kit pouch is giving up the ghost and repairs are now futile...  It lives in a fork mount leather tool bag along with chain lube, tire inflation kit and other stuff.

Anyone have a good suggestion on replacement of the Honda tool pouch?  I have been considering sewing one up myself with rip stop nylon.  I might even try to find a color to match the 'Ultramarine Blue' color of the 2003 model I have ;-)

If you are talking about putting the tools back under the seat in the original location, I would suggest hitting up the army surplus store for a small soft case (map holder ?) that folds up and is dimensionally correct to fit in that odd hole that the 3rd Gen has for a tool storage area.

You might also get a small zippered bank bag to fit in there as well.

I got a couple original tool bags from the dealer a few years ago. Looks like they are still available for $2.25.

$2.25?!?  Geez I just might look into that!
Thanks for the heads up, honestly didn't cross my mind to look into it!
