Title: For those of you that ride Valks
Post by: Marc Albea on July 10, 2014, 11:24:40 AM
On low beam, am I supposed to have a light in each headlight?  I don't remember but I notice I've only got one light on the right when my low beams are on.

Clearly a conservative bike...

Nope pretty sure that you only have one bulb on for low beam and high is both.

Checked it out on the Valk Riders Forum.  On the Interstate, on low beam, both headlights should be lit.  Looks like my low beam filament on the left has gone out so it's time to do a bulb replacement.

Think I've already got a spare sitting somewhere so I'll have to dig it up.

From what I read one of the bulbs are harder to change than the other.  Good luck!

I've done mine before and you have to move a bunch of stuff out of the way to get at them both. I recommend changing both of them at the same time.

Yeah, it's just like a two headlight car.
I run Sylvania Silverstars in mine. I really like the brighter/whiter light than the standard bulbs.
As for getting them in and out... I let Karen do it with her small hands. With my paws, it's a struggle and ends with several cuts and scrapes.
Karen even managed to reach a bolt on Brad's magna once that was going to take an hour for him and me to dismantle things enough to get to.
