I have scheduled my Big Bend park trip for April 21-24 2016.

If you have never ridden in this area it is a fantastic ride adventure. This will be my 4th visit and it always excites me and the members of Dedicated Riders of North Texas.

Leaving Thursday morning from the Tiger Mart in Venus Texas at 0900 (Eat and Greet 0800)

I'm staying at the Maverick Inn in Alpine, TX http://themaverickinn.com/

Others in my group are staying at the Holiday Inn Express http://www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/hotels/us/en/alpine/mrfal/hoteldetail

If you have not done it yet, get on your reservations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in Alpine.

I also need to know who might be interested in attending a Star Party at the Observatory on Friday night.

I'm in for the star party assuming I'm able to make the trip. I'm probably 80% good for it.

The Star Party is certainly worth the time and price of admission.

The Observatory is jaw dropping and makes for great pics.

Okay, I'm officially in. Sorry for the last minute confirmation, had to wait for a couple of puzzle pieces to fall together. Maverick was full, I booked at some cheap joint. The roaches will keep me company.

Do you have your Thursday route posted somewhere? I'll pick the closest spot and try to catch the group on the way down.

Jeff , we will be going down US 67 most of the way towards San Angelo and beyond to hit I-10 (towards Ft Stockton) then back on US 67 south towards Alpine.

The weather up here is going to suck going down. Looks like rain past San Angelo. I hope to eat lunch in Brownwood TX around 12:30

Make Alpine,TX around 7:00 pm including stops for gas and lunch.

Okay, that's way northwest of what makes sense for me to take. I'll just meet you in Alpine. Give me a ring when you get into town, I'll probably beat you there unless I get sidetracked (ooh, shiny...)
