Is it normal here in the DFW area for the key in the ignition to get so hot it is difficult to hold after a 30 minute ride in the summer?  Oh this is 3rd gen magna.

YES, if you have the stock key with the plastic on top, it is not that bad but they do get Hot.

If you don't have a key with the plastic on top, putting it right into your pocket after getting off the bike can REALLY get your attention.   :-P

They wanted to mount the key switch directly on the engine head, but marketing insisted that it need to be easier to reach... :lol: :lol: :lol:
