Title: Repudable Repair shops in Dallas...
Post by: Chadsj on November 26, 2016, 09:09:53 PM
I bought a '83 Magna V45 and have been trying to get it put back together. It was a mess. I've gotten to the point that I need a real mechanic to take over. Issues include the throttle binding, carburetor issues, screw broken off in the alternator cover, a gremlin in the starter switch... Those are the main issues. Is there a good mechanic in the D/FW area who won't charge an arm and a leg to get this beauty up and running?

I know Frank (I do not know him personally) has worked on vintage bikes before, no idea what he charges.

I know a guy in Wylie that works on vintage bikes when he's not consulting in the aircraft industry. He has a pretty neat set up. I've not had him work on anything but he helped me find some parts for my Magna and I got a tour of his projects. He basically got started because all of the dealerships won't work on anything over 5 years old.

His name is David Christ. I will send you his contact info in a private message.
