Title: Passenger floorboards and Leatherlykes- do they both fit
Post by: rjb/AKA Bob Barram on July 11, 2005, 05:58:46 PM
I am going to buy some passenger floorboards for my '99 Magna and have Leatherlykes on it. Anyone have knowledge of how the floorboards mix in with the bags? Will they fold up and not hit the bags?

BoB I never had floorboards on my 96 but I do know the Kuryakyn Dually ISO pegs worked great with the leatherlykes.
Also dont forget the passenger peg extenders from www.Cycle-istic.com, Dobie made them right.  I believe you would have no problems whatsoever with floorboards and the peg extenders.

Thanks, Greg, had not thought of that. More money!!
And Curtis, I take that as good advice from you, but I think I saw your gaurdian Angel leave a few times while I was following you Saturday!LOL!
I think I heard him mumble something like 'too fast for me'.

They do coexist nicely. The real problem is with the side covers. You really have to do some fancy wrenching to get the floorboards on and then the side covers. The side covers almost do not fit.
Now my wife  wants a canopy to protect her from the sun!!! I think I will call the bike the 'Queens Ride' if I go that route. If you saw the movie from Thailand 'The King and I' you know what I mean!!LOL
